With the objective of undertaking preventative action on the difficulties of learning and to cooperate with the educative community (student-family-center) our school offers an Orientation Department formed by professionals qualified in educational psychology and pedagogy therapy. As well as other functions that the department is in charge of including:
- Detection, evaluation, planning, prevention and intervention in a cooperative environment of those involved in the situation-problem to solve: student, family, Center.
- Prevent possible problems in learning by detecting educative needs.
- Optimize the teaching-learning processes.
- Preventive and systematic actions with the participation of everyone involved in the school environment. As well the intervention through family when it is necessary.
- Cooperate with the educative community, contributing with proper relations and interactions between the members: teachers, family and students.
- Design preventive/intervention programs where the execution is made in the global sphere of the child, in both familiar and scholar environments.
- Intervention in cohabitation plans for the students, as established by the Regulation.
- Direct and indirect action regarding the posible variables that may affect the school’s population.
- Collaboration in different educational programs proposed by the Education Office.
- Put into practice the action plans designed and evaluate their efficiency, like the Prevention of Difficulties of Learning for 3rd Infant and 3rd Primary students.
- Elaboration of psychopedagogical reports.
- Processing of documentation to the Education Office.
